"Silver Blaze"

From the Series: The Return of Sherlock Holmes

Jeremy Brett as Sherlock Holmes, Edward Hardwicke as Dr Watson (13 episodes)
First published in "The Strand Magazine" Dec 1892 (SILV)

Synopsis:
A famous racehorse is missing and its trainer dead, a wandering gambler is accused of the crime. Can Holmes recover the horses and save an innocent man from the gallows.

Review:
A simple story as far as finding the racehorses but some clever twists to determine who murdered the trainer. Solved by Holmes because the guard dog did not bark! Some nice deductions from Holmes and good analysis.
