"The Norwood Builder"

From the Series: The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes

Jeremy Brett as Sherlock Holmes, David Burke as Dr Watson (13 episodes)
First published in "Collier's" Oct 1903 (NORW)

Synopsis:
Holmes must use all his skill to save a young man from the gallows when all the evidence is against him.

Review:
An enjoyable episode with Holmes appearing baffled and frustrated that he cannot find the solution. A clever story with some excellent Holmes sleuthing.

A wide-eyed and frantic young man burst into the room

The wretched young man arose

“My first movement, watson,” said he, “must be in the direction of blackheath.”

He sent it to me in that state, with his curse, upon my wedding morning

Look at that with your magnifying glass, Mr. Holmes

A little, wizened man darted out

Holmes smiled and clapped Lestrade upon the shoulder
